Once you take time to sit down and write
You can do it in silence or with music, whatever you like
Just make sure you have a pen and paper in sight
For you’ll never know when the perfect idea will come to mind.
Go on, take your time
No one’s rushing you, so it’s fine
So go ahead, just write.
It could be about that funny dream you had last night
Or maybe that time your friends gave you a fright!
Or maybe you’re an aspiring writer, letting your vision come to life
Your fingers itching for something to write,
Your eyes searching for any inspiration in sight.
Or maybe it’s therapeutic, and it makes you feel at ease
You forget about everyday problems, finding your inner peace.
You could even be cramming for an essay,
Looking for smart things to say.
If you want to show it to others, it is your choice
But if you do, you’ll get a chance for them to hear your voice.
So go ahead, write it all down
Who knows, you could attract a crowd!
So go on,
And just write.
Woah wait waht Shanny writes?
Yeahhh...I did this for an English project that's due tommorrow. We have to write a poem, and our teacher said it could be about anything, so I decided for it to be about writing since I write pretty much everyday.
I decided to post this specific poem because I've always been shy when it came to showing others what I wrote, and I think I need to break out of that shell so that I can help myself improve more.

To be honest this is my first time actually trying at a poem, for I admit I...don't really like poetry. o 3 o;
